Dry, bright and pleasantly warm across the North West today
High pressure brings a fine start to the weekend. After a bright morning with any early mist clearing, expect long spells of sunshine this afternoon. Just a small chance of an isolated shower over the Cumbrian fells, but the vast majority stay dry, with highs of 17C to 19C and light winds.
This evening remains fine and dry with clearing skies. Tonight turns chilly, dipping to around 5C to 8C, with a few mist and fog patches forming in rural spots. Cloud thickens from the west later in the night.
