Fresher today with sunshine and scattered showers
After a cloudy start, cloud breaks up this morning to bring sunny spells. Scattered showers arrive from the northwest through the day, some heavy with a small chance of thunder, though many spots, especially further south and east, stay mostly dry.
Showers ease this evening and become confined mainly to Irish Sea coasts overnight, with cloud thickening from the west later. A brisk northwesterly wind gusts to around 30mph to 36mph, strongest on exposed coasts and hills, easing a little inland this evening.
Highs of 16C to 18C, feeling noticeably fresher than recent days, with temperatures dipping to around 9C to 12C tonight.
