A fine, dry end to the weekend for the North West
After a cloudy start, especially across the south of the region, skies brighten through the day with some good sunny spells developing this afternoon. It stays dry everywhere, and with light winds it will feel pleasant in the sunshine, with highs of 18C to 21C, warmest inland around Manchester and Cheshire.
This evening remains dry and calm. Overnight, cloud increases a little and one or two showers are possible near Irish Sea coasts, while mist and fog patches may form in sheltered inland spots under any clear skies. Lows of 10C to 12C.
Winds stay light throughout, with gusts generally no more than 8 to 15 mph even on exposed coasts and hills, easing further overnight. Monday starts with sunny spells before cloud and outbreaks of rain arrive in the afternoon.
