High pressure will try and push in during the remainder of this week but in doing so will provide a NW’ly flow which will turn N/NE’ly come weekend. This direction isn’t warm at anytime of year but it will feel distinctly cool for the time of year and you’ll need to get prepared for some rather cool nights.
Our pressure chart shows this nicely with the feed coming from a cool N/NW’ly, then N/NE’ly.
So during the days the temperatures wont be anything special, perhaps not feeling too bad in the sunshine but out of it certainly feeling much cooler. Temperatures will average between 12c to 15c. By night however we’ll be dropping well into single figures with the risk of a slight frost in rural areas. See charts below:
So it may pay to get those radiators bled ready for these cool nights because with the nights now getting longer, it will stay cooler for longer.
