Conditions will become unseasonably warm later this week, as a SW’ly flow brings a warm and humid air mass across the UK lifting temperatures into the 20’s across many central and southern areas of the UK.
This warm sector of air can be seen very clearly via our 850 hpa chart, with the yellow and orange colours across the UK.
We have overlaid sea level pressure and the jet stream on the next chart, which shows the jet just edging north, enough to allow warmer air to push north.
So here are the temperatures expected later this week and through the weekend, although it remains to be seen whether conditions remain dry with low pressure generally close by, which may be enough for plenty of showers to develop.
As ever we’ll keep you updated once more data comes through…..
